infield data capture
ESiT have provided solutions utilising hand-held PDA’s to facilitate infield data collection. Integrating with mobile GIS software simplifies the capture of location and quality information. Systems for asset management have been provided to both local authorities and the private sector. One such example is a solution provided to a local council in Scotland for the management of lampposts. The system allows them to collect the exact location and condition of all lampposts and street signs in their area and identify immediate and planned maintenance.
inventory management
Inventory management can take many forms, ranging from the content of a building, to the components of a large piece of machinery. Common to all, is the need to catalogue the components, their properties, location and the cost associated with their maintenance.
We have provided such systems to capture and manage inventory data, utilising GIS software, GPS and barcode scanning to simply identify location and quality of your assets.
The module includes a Bill of Materials displayed graphically like Windows Explorer, allowing you to associate items to one another and identify inter-dependency of components. This also enables you to easily access your data and report full inventories at the click of a button.
building register
The Building Register provides a detailed repository of building histories, construction details and contamination summaries. The register provides links to documents and photo registers allows you to collate additional information, pictures, maps and documentation. The register also has the capacity for additional links to GIS giving geospatial visualisation and querying. The module allows information to be shared between relevant departments, but managed and controlled in a single central location.
photo management
Designed for site or estate managers, the Photo Register provides a central repository for all your photos, maps and images. The system automatically creates thumbnail images when a photograph is entered to assist browsing, and provides Windows Explorer-style topic management with drag and drop functionality to categorise your photos, helping to simplify searching and access of your data. The ability to batch process directories of photos significantly speeds up data entry.
