Our Solutions
At the heart of ESiT’s solutions is the ADMiT System, a software development tool specifically designed to aid the rapid configuration of applications to match your requirements. This enables us to develop solutions either from scratch, or based on our standard modules to precisely match your requirements. Our team of experienced project managers and developers will guide you through our ISO 9001:200 approved specification and development process ensuring that our solution matches your expectations.
Our tailored solutions have included:
- A project management system (including CRM, document management and SOP) for a structural testing company
- A PDM system for an international seal manufacturer, who are now modifying and developing the software themselves
- An integrated, change control, PDM and timesheet logging system including intranet an application for the creation searching and viewing of change requests and change notes for Dennis Eagle
drawing / document management
Traditionally, document management has been reserved for 'important' documents (drawings, legal documents, invoices etc) however, as hard disks get larger, people’s inboxes are getting fuller and everyone has a printer on their desk, the proliferation of uncontrolled documents becomes an increasingly problematic issue.
ESiT’s background in document and data management makes us ideally placed to provide general document management solutions as well more specific systems.
Scanned Documents
Aimed at scanned documents, but catering for all formats of electronic documents, cabinet is the document management solution that allows you to amend, search, find and view documents effectively.
cabinet can be configured to suit the way in which your organisation works, using your existing terminology and processes.
Documents in any format can be added to your cabinet – either in batches or individually – with the option to index them manually or automatically, depending on the document type.
Once documents have been stored in cabinet, it is possible to search for them in a variety of ways, using the standard search methods within the software or the ‘table view’ technique.
These search techniques allow users to find the documents they need quickly, saving your organisation time that can be spent on more important tasks.
cabinet, like all of ESiT’s products, integrates with Microsoft Office and other applications, enabling it to work seamlessly with your existing systems.
The system provides a single point of access to documents, removing the need to keep multiple copies and ensuring version control is maintained.
cabinet offers two styles of user interface:
- The full client version, with cabinet’s full range of functionality is built on the solid foundations of the ADMiT System, allowing for rapid configuration to fit with your organisation’s needs.
- The browser-based version is built on ESiT’s new webMiT technology, which provides a simple process for searching and viewing documents throughout your organisation.
web solutions
We provide a range of web solutions, meeting your need for stand-alone sites, or sites integrated with your intranet, extranet or public facing sites. Examples include:
- Photo and Drawing Manager – search, find, view site drawings and photos on company extranet for UKAEA
- Resource Directory – head office providing information for member organisations through their portal for Citizens Advice
- Change Request Management – creation, searching and finding change requests and change notes for Denis Eagle
We are able to offer two approaches to delivering web solutions. Modelled on ADMiT the client-server rapid development tool we have built webMiT, allowing us to configure and deliver data-driven websites in a fraction of the time of conventional web programming.
However, when you require something a little more bespoke, taking full advantage of your existing process of authentication and styles we provide a more conventional approach to web development, but with the advantage that we are fully integrating the solutions with the ADMiT back-office solution.
system integration
IT systems cannot be considered in isolation. The information used and stored within ADMiT solutions will be used in other IT applications within the organisation. Time, effort and errors are reduced if this information can be shared with your other systems. ADMiT’s flexibility and its architecture enables us to link our solutions to your other systems, whether or not we have come across them before. This might be as simple as passing name and address information to Microsoft Word or as complex as passing bill of materials and part information to an ERP system. Our can-do approach means that we will always try and find a way of linking to your other systems, even if they are 'legacy' systems running on a different platform.
